“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

Hebrews 10:12-17

God is at work in you. The inside of the cup is more important than anything on the outside. If we could follow rules perfectly, we would already have done so. But we know from childhood that that isn’t the case at all. The more rules we receive, the more we feel like breaking them. For those who strive with God through prayer (Gen 32:38), God’s will has been put in the inward parts; spiritually written into the heart and mind. He has poured out his Spirit “so as to give them wisdom, will, and power, to obey his word” (Henry).1* Our strength is in turning inside to learn God’s working compass installed in these vessels.

We have already been perfected. It has been finished. It is only a matter of time when this truth will manifest. We have the complete tools to win this fight. When the enemy comes in, the Spirit raises a flooding standard against him (Isa 59:19). The flood is the wealth of promises, confirmation, and finished work of Christ, that the enemy is now a footstool. Every dart launched toward you, step on it as the footstool it is, and you will be stepping up.

The weight of the dart is not yours to bear. Get on top of it. Our duty is to seek him while he may be found (Isa 55:6), with all of our heart, soul, and mind (Deu 10:12 & Act 4:32). That is our cross: application regardless of outside opinion. God’s word addresses the inside more than any issue on the outside. Jesus displayed when the inside is addressed, the power to correct the outside will already be there. With a command and the laying of holy, believing hands, the sick recover (Mar 16:17). Walk into your destiny! Roll with the Spirit!
